When the face is relaxed the entire body feels different. A facial cleans, exfoliates and nourishes the skin to promote clear, well-hydrated youthful looking skin. Each facial must be tailored to meet the skin type and specific needs of the client. You will learn how to give a basic facial (no extractions), including proper positioning and preparation of the client, hydrotherapy application, the structure of the skin, identification of basic skin types, products and protocol and marma-point massage of the head, face and neck regions.

Use these therapies together, as add-ons or as stand alone treatments to repair, replenish and nourish dry and pre-mature aging skin and hair. Skin brushing can sustain or reestablish the skin's functional integrity and youthful glow. It aids in waste removal, helps slow the skin's aging process, increases circulation, improves digestion and alleviates muscular tension. Cleansing, exfoliation, moor mud, salt glows, clay and hydrating masks applied to the hands and feet will be explored through hands on work. Protocols for the application of herbal hot oils to the hair and scalp combined with massage and hydrotherapy to hydrate the hair and nourish the scalp will be covered.

“Become One with the Stones”. There is an ancient and powerful quality to stone massage which we have been utilizing since earliest times. To add stone massage as a modality to assist in the healing process the therapist needs to massage with a stone as though it is an extension of their hand. The stones embody the grounding properties of the earth element as their heat elicits a deep relaxation response in the nervous system. The stable and still quality of large grounding stones placed at different points of the body help calm and still the movement of the mind. We’ll cover complete session protocols within an intuitive environment, with advanced hand and forearm techniques for alleviating repetitive injury.
